Cleaning Process

Wondering how our unique process of cleaning equipment works? We’ll take you through a step-by-step guide of how your gear goes from being filthy to becoming clean and sanitized.

Whether you use our friendly door-to-door service, our convenient drop zones, or visit us in person; the cleaning process remains the same.

1.     When a Pro Clean Gear or Drop Zone representative receives your equipment, each item to be cleaned is first inspected and then placed into a clear red plastic collection bag. Each item is checked off on our invoice sheet, and the condition of each piece is noted. The invoice is completed with your name and contact information, one copy is then placed into the clear collection bag, and you will be presented with a copy. This invoice is your claim check. The bag is then sealed for presentation to our cleaning facility.

2.     Upon arrival to our cleaning facility, your equipment is removed from the clear red plastic collection bag by our staff, and loaded into a separate protective mesh bag, which safely secures your gear during the cleaning and sanitizing process.  Presoaking of heavily soiled items like gloves is often performed first. The mesh bag containing your equipment is placed into one of the eight individual compartments of the Esporta system. (The world’s first commercial machine capable of cleaning sports, and professional/safety equipment without causing damage to the equipment). Special attention is given to ensure that your equipment is appropriately positioned in the machine to ensure the best cleaning results.

3.     The Esporta machine goes through a series of cycles before the final drying process. The system uses advanced detergents, sanitizers and finishers to ensure that your equipment is professionally cleaned, and that 99.9% of all bacteria and fungus are eliminated from your equipment.

4.     Your equipment comes out of the machine smelling fresh and clean. At this point the equipment has approximately 10% moisture content to keep the leathers soft and prevent overheating of plastics used in the equipment.

5.     A final stage in our Proprietary Dry-Finishing System - exclusive to Pro Clean Gear- ensures equipment is safely dried and ready to go back to you the next day.

6.     Now dry, cleaned, and sanitized, your equipment is placed into a clear plastic return bag and sealed. The bag is returned to you via the convenient door-to-door service or picked up at the drop zone where you left it, with a copy of the invoice.

7.     All that remains is for you to present your invoice (claim check), and the cleaning process is complete!
